ABOUT
Naum Repkin was born in 1941. His childhood
happened to be during the war period and post – war hungry and
difficult times. All these influenced his character and formed
his attitude towards people, especially to children. Naum Zakharovich
takes care of children sincerely and touchingly. He is the only
Ukrainian artist, who could establish the Foundation "Artist
for Children". Due to this foundation disabled children
can receive assistance for already 7 years.
Naum Zakharovich is a modest unpretentious person. All the fund,
raised for his paintings at charitable exhibitions he gives
the needy children.
An artist with active public position, Naum Zakharovich participates
in country and region public life, asserts children rights for
worthy life.
In 1999 Naum Repkin charitable exhibition took place in Uzhgorod.
All funds raised were transferred to Disabled Children Rehabilitation
Center.
In 2001, after floods in Transcarpahia, 20 tons of food and
clothes from Holland Charitable Foundation "Dorcas"
were distributed to the regions that suffer most from the flood.
All the funds were raised from Repkin charitable exhibition.
In April 2002, funds raised from 6 personal exhibitions at Holland
together with "Dorcas International" Foundation were
transferred to fund the summer health camp in Hungary.
Naum Repkin is the author of Holocaust perished memorial. It
has been erected in Uzhgorod on his funds.
God generously provide Naum Zakharovich not only with the gift
to paint but with the gift to feel for people, as well as the
gift of great human kindness. Talented artist, he devoted his
art to lyric landscape. Refined colorist, he quietly invites
you in the world of landscape in Carpathian land.
His teachers were outstanding masters: Anton Kashshai and Vasil
Burch. But his major teacher was the Nature: he could hear and
retell its enigmatic mysteries.
Naum Repkin is our contemporary, his art is unique, original
and people need it.
